Ashton on Mersey Golf Club – Supporting Stockdales

Members of Ashton on Mersey Golf Club have been raising funds for Stockdales over the last year. Lady Captain of 2013, Sandra Parker, recently presented a cheque for £1,500 to Stockdales and said  “I chose to support Stockdales for our golf club charity because of all the good work they have done in Sale and the Greater Manchester area over the last 60 years. They help children and young adults with disabilities to live more independent lives. I’m very pleased to say the club will be supporting them this year too.”

The Square Shopping Centre Keeping It Local

Customers of the Square Shopping Centre have helped to raise £582.00 for local disability charity, Stockdales. Every year, the centre has a Christmas grotto and display in which customers can make their donations. The management company also very kindly arranges for chocolates to be given out to those who visit the shopping centre.

TR Dallas Evening Raises Thousands

A couple from Altrincham have raised thousands of pounds for local disability charity Stockdales. The charity is close to the hearts of Kathy Smith and her partner Martin Butterworth. Kathy’s daughter, Martina, regularly attends the Stockdales Lifeskills sessions, taking part in activities such as swimming, dance and music.

Stockdales and Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey

Recently Stockdales were delighted to be asked to be complimentary sponsors of an Ice Hockey game held at the Altrincham Ice Dome between Manchester Phoenix and Peterborough Phantoms. We can’t thank Manchester Phoenix and the Phoenix Project enough. We took some of our service users and staff along to show our support and to watch the game, we all absolutely loved it, it was really exciting! It was also a great opportunity to get our name in the programme, helping to raise awareness of Stockdales and our work. We even got our photo taken with some of the players.

Stockdales History – 60 years of Service

Local Sale resident, Dr.Eric McPherson, offered to put together the Stockdales history in the run up to our Special year. Working very hard, he began a thorough search of photographs, publications, paperwork and also interviewed various people who had been involved with Stockdales over the years.
