Clare & Karla Take on the Heaton Park 5K for Stockdales

This May, two incredible members of the Stockdales community are taking on an inspiring challenge—together.

Clare, who lives at Stockdales and Karla, one of our dedicated team members, will be participating in the Heaton Park 5K Challenge on 3rd May, raising funds to support our work.

Clare is a wheelchair user and she is especially excited to take part in this special event. With Karla by her side every step (and roll!) of the way, they’ll cross the finish line together—celebrating an achievement that Clare has been looking forward to with pure joy and determination, especially the moment she receives her medal.

This challenge is about so much more than completing a 5K. It’s about inclusion, encouragement, and showing that with the right support, everyone can achieve incredible things. Clare and Karla’s journey is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through teamwork, determination, and belief.

By taking on this challenge, they are also helping to raise vital funds so Stockdales.
