A Permanent home for Stockdales Community Support

We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: Stockdales has now purchased the building on Navigation Road, where our Community Support Services take place!

After years of careful planning, fundraising, and patience, this building is now officially ours. This is a significant milestone for Stockdales.

Owning the site on Navigation Road means:

• Long-term security for services families rely on
• The opportunity to grow and develop our programmes thoughtfully
• A safe and stable future for the Stockdales community

This step is especially important because there remains a significant lack of local provision for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. The need for safe, consistent and meaningful services has never been greater.
Without access to day services, social groups and community support, many people can become isolated and miss out on valuable opportunities to build skills, grow in confidence and maintain their wellbeing. At the same time, families and carers may be left without much-needed respite and practical support, adding significant pressure to everyday life.
By securing our building, we are not only protecting existing services but ensuring we can continue to provide vital groups, learning opportunities and social connections that help people thrive, stay engaged, and remain part of their community.

We’re delighted that this exciting step allows us to expand our services, and we now have spaces available in:

Adults Weekly Day Centre: Monday- Friday, 9am-4pm
Adult Evening Social Club: Where adults can relax, make friends and be part of the wider community
Freshers: A fun club for teenagers and young adults meeting every Thursday from 6.15-8.15pm
Stockies Juniors: A Saturday Play Club for children
The Hang Out Hub: A weekly afternoon club for children to socialise, increase friendships and feel supported, after school 3:30pm – 6pm
